This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows:

To assess the effectiveness of Chinese medicine (CM) for immunological function in women with breast cancer or a history of breast cancer when CM is compared with no treatment, placebo, conventional therapies, acupuncture or other forms of alternatives defined in the review. We will also assess adverse effects resulting from CM intervention.
